David Morris, Partner, Simmons Wolfhagen
David is one of Tasmania’s most experienced solicitors in the planning, development and local government spheres. He is an expert in each of the services provided by the Local Government, Planning & Development team.
He is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a past chair of Tasmanian Young Lawyers, past vice-chair of Australian Young Lawyers, past editor of the Australasian Law Management Journal and past committee member of the General Practice Section of the Law Council of Australia. He has also been a board member of Oak Tasmania and was the chairman of The Hutchins School board.
His expertise and experience in various aspects of development law, including building and construction disputes, has enabled him to provide support as a member of the Regional Executive Committee of the Housing Industry Association (Tasmania). He is the Tasmanian representative and Chair of the Housing Industry Association on its national Industrial Relations and Legal Committee.
